Interview with the new Executive Director, Chris Imsland

What is your previous involvement in Partners Mentoring Youth?

I was a Senior Partner in 2001 and have been an Alumni Senior Partner ever since. I wanted to continue to do more so I joined the community board and the board of directors, where I served in many positions from secretary to helping with the marketing committee.

What is your vision to take Partners Mentoring Youth to the next level?

I would like to ensure that globally Partners Mentoring Youth has a name. We are good at what we do, mentoring, and I want people to recognize that.

To date, what is your biggest accomplishment?

Being a dad to 5-month-old Jake.

What was your first car?

I drove a Ford LTD. It only had an AM radio. I would drive around with a boom box on the console, because I wanted to listen to FM.

What are your aspirations in life?

I want to contribute to the community, my marriage and children. I just want to be helpful.

Anything else?

I want to thank everyone: senior partners, donors and all the other amazing people that have made Partners Mentoring Youth what it is today. Partners Mentoring Youth is experiencing serious growth because of these people who left a legacy of a great organization.

About Us

History
To fill a need for  youth mentoring programs  in the area, Larimer County Partners was established in 1978 through the effort of the Mayor's office, Eighth Judicial District Attorney, local businesses and concerned citizens. The goal was to provide one-to-one mentors for “at-risk” youth. Partners Mentoring Youth now has offices in Fort Collins, Loveland and Estes Park to better serve youth throughout the county.  Click here for more of our history.

Mission
The mission of Partners Mentoring Youth of Larimer County is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, social and academic lives. Click here for more about our mission.
