See our calendar Sign Up Information Activities offered through Partners Mentoring Youth are divided into two different groups: Partners Nexus Group and Partnerships. The Partners Nexus Group activities are for kids who are waiting to be matched with a mentor (Senior Partner) and Partnership activities are for kids who have already been matched with a mentor. If you are in a Partnership, you will sign up for activities through your Senior Partner. They will also be providing your child’s transportation to and from the activity. In Fort Collins and Loveland, a fully screened Activity Volunteer will pick your Nexus child up, participate in the activity with them and bring them home. Most activities are free to attend unless otherwise noted, however space is limited so sign up ASAP. Saturday, January 12th - Ice Skating - 1-2:30pm. Join Partners for ice skating in beautiful Estes park. This activity is located at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. This activity is free and skates will be provided. Partnerships and Nexus group Sunday, Jan. 27th - Lego Building - 2-4 pm. Bring your Legos or lego's will be provided and team up with your Senior Partner or Activity Volunteer to build the biggest and best Lego creation! Snacks and drinks provided. Located in the FTC Partners office. Partnerships and Nexus group Saturday, February 9th - Bowling - 1:30 to 3:00 located at Chippers Lanes on Horsetooth, FTC. Partnerships and Nexus Group. Wednesday, February 20th - CEO On Learning Disablities- 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Location: US Bank First floor Community Room -Estes Park Senior Partners Only Saturday, February 23rd - Movie Afternoon - 1-3:30 - Location to be determined We will have popcorn, drinks, licorice and other fun movie treats! We can hunker down and watch a fun kid’s movie. I will see what is newly released at that time! Nexus Group Saturday, March 8th - Snowshoeing in Estes Park. - 10 am -1 pm, located in RMNP @ Bear Lake. Enjoy the beauty of the mountains in winter and join other partnerships for snowshoeing around Bear lake. Snowshoe rental is offered in EP. JP's are free and SP's half price. Light snacks will be provided. Partnerships only Saturday, March 8th - Jewelry Making - 1:30-3:30 pm, located at The Residence Inn, Loveland, Partnerships and Nexus group Thursday, March 27th - Jewelry Making -6 :00- 8:00 pm - Location: SP's House -Estes Park Girls Group Thursday, March 27th - CEO Meeting-Setting and enforcing boundaries in a positive way - 6:30 -8 pm Location: Fort Collins Partners Office, Senior Partners Only Sunday, March 30th - Pump It Up - 12:30-2 - Pump it up - Location: Fort Collins - Let’s have a play day at Pump it Up! The kids and adults will be able to have fun in the jumping castle, boxing area and of course we are going to have races on the obstacle course! Partnerships and Nexus Group Saturday, April 5th- Fishing Derby for ages 5-12- 9am to 1pm- Location Louis Swift Ponds. Poles will be provided for every participant. It is FREE to participate. A Barbeque will be held at lunch for all participants. There will be PRIZES for the kids participating and you get to keep the poles!!! Directions: Take the frontage road south from Harmony Exit to the next overpass. Turn Left (East), we are on your right! Look for signs. Deadline to sign up is March 31st. Fair includes: bike helmet giveaways, professional skate- boarding demos, and helicopter landings. Nexus - Partnerships. Saturday, June 14th - CSU Ropes Course - 1-5pm - Location: CSU Ropes Course Fort Collins - Partnerships and Nexus Group Deadline to sign up is June 6th. $5 for SP, JP is free. Wednesday, June 25th - Fort Fun - 12-2pm - Location: Fort Fun Fort Collins - Nexus Group Only Saturday, June 28th - Horseback Riding - 10:30-11:30 - Location: YMCA of Estes Park - Partnerships-Countywide (Loveland, Fort Collins, Estes Park) - Deadline to sign up is June 20th. $10 for SP, JP is free. Girls Group Yoga - Saturday July 19 10-11:15am Location TBA - Estes Park Partnerships. Free Tuesday, July 8th - Archery - 6:30-8:30pm - Location: Lon Hegler Resevior in Loveland - Nexus and Partnerships - Equipment provided, instruction by Big Thompson Bow Hunters. Deadline to sign up is June 27th. Saturday, July 19th - Rafting - 1:15 Half Day Trip - Location: Poudre River - Fort Collins - Partnerships - Countywide - Deadline to sign up is July 11th $15 for SP, JP is free. Activity Full! Friday, July 25th - Water World - All Day - Location: Denver - Nexus Group Only Saturday, August 9th- hike up Young Gulch Trail in the lower Poudre Canyon for kids ages 7-11. This activity features hands- on experiences, planned activities and education by a Poudre wilderness Volunteer for their Kids in Nature program- Partnerships and Nexus youth group. Time TBD Monday, August 11th - Estes Park -Suicide Prevention Training -Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm.- Location: US Bank Building, First Floor, Pizza provided. Senior Partners Only. Sunday, August 24th - County-wide Mountain Biking and picnic lunch at playground- Time: 10:30am - 1:30pm - Location: Estes Park: Lake Estes Path and Stanley Park Playground - Nexus and Partnerships - Limited number of bikes provided free for JPs (and SP's) if needed. September Activities Sunday, September 7th- County-wide Ride A Kart in Estes Park- Time: 11am - 1pm. Join us for fun riding go-karts, bumper boats, crazy cars, and playing miniature golf. Free and drinks and snacks (but not lunch) will be provided. County-wide Partnerships and EP Nexus. Saturday, September 20th- Running of the Bulls in EP. 3.75 mile run/walk starts at 10am at Lake Shore Lodge. Earn your community service by volunteering- shifts available between 7am - 12. Run, walk, or fundraise to support Partners. Register online here. October Activities Friday, 10/10 CEO coffee talk at Kind Coffee in Estes Park for Senior Partners only. Time: 4 - 5pm. Saturday, 10/18 MacGregor Ranch community service project and campfire in Estes Park. Time: 1 - 4pm. Estes Park partnerships and Nexus. Join us for a work project at the historic ranch followed by S'mores around the fire.
